In life no one is excused from the unexpected happenings of life because it’s a mystery that is unpredictable and that is why we should all be measured in our approach and utterances to issues when they do occur.

It’s quite unfortunate and very sad and heart broken for Archbishop Salifu Amoaku to find himself in this situation but this can happen to anyone irrespective of who you are. The untimely and painful demise of the two children and the traumatic experiences of the parents and loved ones is something that can never be swept under the carpet because the scars will forever be there, because life is sacrosanct and life lost can never be regained with anything in this world.

However it is important for all of us to pause and reflect and ask ourselves, what if it is me that this unfortunate incident happened to, what will I do or how will I handle it? Hearts are broken and shattered and many questions are going on in the minds of all- why should this happen, could it have been avoided?

It is imperative to note that in life whatever we do will certainly affect another, so that’s why we need to be careful in our decisions, choices and behaviors before we say had I know.

I will like to take this opportunity and use my page to extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family of these children and all their loved ones and say to them no one feels their pains at this time than they and God although people will sympathize with them over their lost, so they should take solace in God in this difficult times and remember many are the afflictions of the righteous but the good Lord delivers them out of them all. They are justified to take whatever actions against the perpetrator and their families but they should remember one thing God is not oblivious of whatever comes to us and no man can understand why this should happen to them at this time but God knows and the bible admonishes us in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. Although this incident is as a result of negligence, God is able to heal their pains, wounds and restore them if they put their trust in Him. They will hear many things and feel angered because of their pains and it’s understandable, but they should remember God still cares.

To Archbishop Salifu Amoako and the family one thing I will say to my senior is, no matter what has happened to you and your family and what the outcome will be, be encouraged and know that God has not forsaken you and the devil has not won, but remember like Apostle Paul said, for I bear in my body the marks of Christ. Continue to take refuge in God and the fellowship of the brethren and take steps to rectify this unfortunate situation immediately and don’t speak, or respond to anyone again on this matter, allow the God who called you to handle it.

Finally I appeal to all who are closer to both families to continue to pray for them, counsel them, encourage them and reassure them of Gods love, and especially to those who are closer to the parents, family and loved ones of our departed sisters, I understand your pains but please don’t fun the fire and make them bitter because for every situation, there is a valuable lesson to learn in the school of life.

Furthermore I join the countless people senior clergy, believers etc from all walks of life to plead for leniency on behalf of Archbishop Salifu Amoako, please temper justice with mercy.

Also I would like to appeal to all parents to take cue from this unfortunate incident and be up and doing when it comes to parenting because parenting is a tedious assignment.

Now to all Ghanaians, our politicians, media and especially those who drive, it’s about time we discuss everywhere about the importance of roadsafety, we should not only express emotions and outbursts when accidents occur and lives are lost because accidents don’t occur in a vacuum. We are all involved.

In conclusion this time calls for a sober reflection by all and sundry to ponder over the incident and draw out the valuable lessons this unfortunate incident has brought to light so we as a people be guided by our actions and behaviors on our roads and societal discourse especially as we’re approaching elections with all the tensions and unfortunate behaviors of our politicians and utterances because life lost cannot be redeemed no matter what and with anything in the world.

God bless us all as we reflect on this.
